Translations

  • צח‎נ‎ is Hebrew for Noach/Noah
  • The Cyrillic poem is a passage from Russian poet Aleksandr Blok's "To The Muse." Translation
In your hidden memories
There are fatal tidings of doom...
A curse on sacred traditions,
A desecration of happiness;
  • Schwizertitsch - A spoken Alemannic dialect of Swiss German. Unlike most regional languages in modern Europe, Swiss German is the spoken everyday language of all social levels in industrial cities, as well as in the countryside. In the 16th century, the Alemannic forms of writing were considered the original, truly Swiss forms, whereas the New High German forms were perceived as foreign innovations. The innovations were brought about by the printing press and were also associated with Lutheranism. Wikipedia
  • Standardsprache - Translates from German as "standard language." A standard language is an official form of a language used for government and commercial purposes, with a fixed orthography and dictionary. Linguists describe a standard language as "a dialect with an army." UCL
